On February 30th of the super-leap year 0, King Crypto ascended the throne of the beautiful but impoverished country of Bitcoinia. Under the reign of his father, the wasteful potentate Nasdaq III, the stock market barometer had been at stormy levels for years. Earning capacity plummeted. The streets presented a sad sight.
Everywhere you looked there were beggars, skin and bones, dressed in ragged designer clothes that had been mercilessly gnawed by the ravages of time. In their bony hands, they held pieces of paper with QR codes that linked to their bank accounts. They were rarely scanned by passersby. So, they became broker by the day.
The car charging stations stood there, jobless and sad, blinking their colorful lights. But then, one fine day, Nasdaq III choked on an Asian-style marinated beef tip. His death came at an opportune time. Crypto ascended the throne. With just a few clicks of his golden mouse, he would lead the country to times of prosperity and obesity.
Crypto promised his people a long and happy life. "The beam over which money could be squandered would come within everyone's reach, thanks to the braying digital money mules." Who could object to that? Well, the Six Little Hackers. They hatched a plan.
What kind of plan that was and how it ended for the people of Bitcoinia, you will hear on this magical afternoon from comedian and writer Vincent Bijlo, together with a quintet of passionate and celebrated musicians.
