Tonight, guitarist Izhar Elias and his fellow musicians take you on a dazzling journey through the world of the Latino guitar. The program Vamos! bridges centuries and continents: from 18thcentury Madrid to the sultry streets of Buenos Aires and Havana.

We begin and end the journey with Boccherini. While La Ritiratade naderende en verdwijnende militaire nachtwacht van Madrid verbeeldt, neemt de Fandango takes us to a Spanish folk festival, where people dance excitingly and you can hear the clacking of castanets.

The journey continues to Brazil, where Gnattali weaves a dialogue between cello and guitar, soaked in the rhythms of samba and bossa nova. Back in Europe, we hear the passion of flamenco in an iconic work for solo guitar by Albéniz. In Suite Buenos Aires Pujol sketches a musical portrait of four different neighborhoods, fused with the Argentine tango and milonga.

We could not wish for a more festive, sun-drenched closing concert of the season.
